On thanksgiving day, 1ºB students, decorated new leaves with their messages of gratitude. The leaves have been well looked after since then, and yesterday (January 8th) some students from this goup colaborated in adding those leves to our gratitude tree.
Researchers have found that practising gratitude can do all these things for us as individuals:
- increased happiness and positive mood
- more satisfaction with life
- less materialistic
- less likely to experience burnout
- better physical health
- better sleep
- less fatigue
- lower levels of cellular inflammation
- greater resiliency
- encourages the development of patience, humility, and wisdom
We talked about the benefits of gratitude and everyone found plenty of things to be grateful for. It’s a pity that we can only dedicate a couple of sessions to this matter. We need to keep reminding ourselves that there is always something to be grateful for.
Our gratitude tree looks happier since yesterday, and we intent to make it grow year after year.
Find here some of the leaves we added to our tree yesterday. Lovely thoughts, aren’t they?
